Third Lobbyist Retained for Second New Group in I-502 Implementation

Longtime Olympia lobbyist and association director Phil Wayt has filed the necessary papers to represent the Northwest Producers and Processors Association during the 2013 legislative session and the almost year-long cannabis rulemaking process at the Washington Liquor Control Board. The board is responsible for the implementation of I-502, Washington state’s new law legalizing recreational use of cannabis. The board must develop the business and regulatory platform for the production, processing and retail sale of the product.
